This topic has taught me how to acknowledge authors by giving a credit to the sources that we have refereed. It gave me insight values on why should we cite those source and what are some of the consequences if we do not cite those sources. If we acknowledge those sources that we have referred it help us to maintain academic integrity that is being honest and help us to not fall under being in plagiarism.
Furthermore it taught me different types of citation while writing an academic essay. One of these type of citation is the in text citation. These type of citation are used in the body paragraph to give credit to the sources. It is different from referencing as it will only talk about that particular source of that that particular paragraph that we have referred. Under that we have two main type that is the parenthetical and narrative citation. Through this it gives credit to the authors, helps to find more information about the author and gives more idea about
the specific topic to the readers.
After completion of this topic it instilled me the values of being a honest man and how to acknowledge others if they have help us in doing any kind of a work or made an impact in our life.
